In Afghanistan, Energy Minister Mohammad Ismail Khan survived a car bomb attack in the west of the country on Sunday that left at least four civilians dead and 17 wounded. Police spokesman Abdul Raouf Ahmadi said that the bomb exploded in Afghanistan's cultural hub Herat as the convoy of the Minister was passing, killing four people including a woman and a child, and injuring 17 other. Zabihullah Mujahed, a spokesman for the Taliban, claimed responsibility for the attack.<br/><br/>
