Afghan & coalition forces kill insurgent attacker

In Afghanistan, combined NATO and Afghan security force killed an insurgent attacker during an operation in Charkh district of Logar province on Friday. A press release issued by International Joint command in Kabul on Saturday says the force on tip off from local citizens was searching for a Taliban facilitator responsible for making and distributing roadside bombs for attacks against the Afghan National Army when the insurgent disguised in a woman’s burka attacked the security force. The force returned fired at him, resulting in his death. In another operations security force, while searching for insurgents and their facilitators detained several suspected insurgents in Takhar, Konduz, Baghlan, Logan and Kandhar provinces
