An aerostat worth Rs. 40 crore and fitted with world's latest broadcasting technology was launched today at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. Speaking after the launch the Chairman of the Organisaing Committee for Commonwealth Games Mr. Suresh Kalmadi told the reporters that rains so far have not hampered the progress of completion of the arrangements and venues for the games. He expressed confidence that the games will be a grand success and the inaugural ceremony will be impressive and unparalleled. AIR correspondent SArita Brara reports that the twelve meter high aerostat is eighty meter long and forty meter wide and will be used for the first time in any sporting event in the world. the 40 crore and highly talked aerostat will provide a marvelous visual experience.It will be balanced at the hieght of thirty meters from the base and will be used for projecting high resolution photographs, videos and animation on 360 degrees.
