Aero India show on in Bangalore

The Aero India show, now on in Bangalore, has provided platform to some young enterprising engineers. Surrounded by Multinationals and national aviation companies is an exhibition stall set up by young engineering entrepreneurs in Aero India show. A start up company owned by them called Swallow Systems has designed and developed an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle called Skimmer. Director of the Company Siddharth Amin and Promoter Ajay Parikh say that they have toiled for six long years to develop this UAV using components available within the country. Based in Baroda the Swallow Systems launched their UAV in the Aero Show going on in Bangalore now. Their hand launched UAV with GPS and telemetry facilities can fly for an hour up to a radius of five kms and send real time video transmission to base camp as part of surveillance duties. Ajay Parikh hoped that this indigenous product costing around rupees 45 lakh a piece will get patronage within the country from defence and disaster management authorities.
