Internationally acclaimed sculptor Adwaita Gadanayak today assumed charge as Director General of the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA). He succeeded Rajeev Lochan. Previously, Mr Gadanayak was Head of the School of Sculpture at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar.<br/><br/>Winner of the Lalit Kala Akademi National Award for Sculpture in 1993, Mr Gadanayak had graduated from BK College of Art and Crafts, Bhubaneswar. Talking to AIR, Mr Gadanayak said, he has lot of plans to make the National Gallery of Modern Art the most happening place of the national capital.
