<span style="color: #222222;">Baseer Ahmad Khan, Advisor to Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor today convened a meeting to review power scenario in Jammu division and implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes under JPDCL projects. AIR Corrospondant reports that during the meeting discussion was held on completion of languishing projects, expeditious completion of works under ongoing centrally sponsored schemes, augmentation of central workshop/ creation of new workshops, distribution network and load on power distribution.<br />'' <br />''Mr. Khan was briefed about the present status of Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS), Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY), Prime Minister's Development Package(PMDP) and several other schemes. He directed the concerned officials for speeding up the execution of centrally sponsored schemes and maintained that officers should remove the bottlenecks, if any, to complete projects within the stipulated timeframe. He directed Power Development Department (PDD) officials to provide uninterrupted power supply to quarantine centers. It was decided during the meeting that 03 meter testing labs would be constructed at Kathua, Batote and Rajouri. He also gave directions to ensure that there must be 100 percent  distribution of electricity bills both through physical and electronic means to the consumers and switching existing meters to smart prepaid mode as per Government of India guidelines. </span><br />
