Advani begins ‘Jan Chetna Yatra’ from Bihar

Senior BJP leader L K Advani today began his 38-day Jan Chetna Yatra from Sitabdiara in Chhapra district of Bihar. State Chief Minister Nitish Kumar flagged off the Yatra. Earlier, addressing a public meeting at Gandhi Maidan, Mr. Advani said that his Yatra was against corruption and for bringing back black money stashed abroad. The Yatra will go through 23 states and four union territories. The 84-year old leader also emphasised that the Yatra is aimed at good governance and clean politics.

Meanwhile, criticizing BJP, Congress today said that issues like black money and corruption cannot be solved by organizing Rath Yatras. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, party spokesman Manish Tewari said that Congress led UPA government has taken a series of measures to tackle this menace.
