Veteran BJP leader LK Advani has accepted the decision of the Party's Parliamentary Board, which had unanimously rejected his resignation from the party's various posts. Briefing reporters after holding a meeting with Mr. Advani in the company of other leaders in New Delhi, party President Rajnath Singh said, he has assured Mr. Advani that his concerns about the functioning of the party would be addressed.

At an urgent meeting, the Parliamentary Board of the Party had unanimously rejected Mr. Advani's resignation from the Parliamentary Board, National Executive and the Election Committee.
Mr Advani had resigned reportedly in protest against the elevation of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as Campaign Committee Chief plunging the main opposition party into a crisis.
