Adopted multi-pronged approach to contain cross-border infiltration: Govt

The government has said that it remains open to dialogue with those who eschew the path of violence and are willing to work within the framework of the Indian Constitution. Minister of State for Home Affairs Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary told the Rajya Sabha today said the Centre, in tandem with Jammu and Kashmir government, has taken several steps to check terrorist activities in the state. <br/><br/>In a written reply, the Minister said a multi-pronged approach has been adopted to contain cross-border infiltration. This includes strengthening of border management, multi-tiered deployment along the borders and monitoring of infiltration routes. He said the government has also adopted various counter-measures to neutralise the efforts and capabilities of militants to disturb peace in the state.
