The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has announced that the admission process is underway at the BMC-run Mumbai Public Schools. In a tweet, the BMC yesterday said, the BMC-run schools will have CBSE curriculum and the Online Admissions is now open from Junior KG to Grade Six for the academic year 2021-22. The admission for 90 per cent seats will be given by lottery draws. At least five per cent seats will be given as per the recommendation of the Mayor and rest five per cent seats will be reserved for the children of BMC employees. The students will get all the facilities like in other schools of the BMC.<br />'' <br />''Earlier last month, the BMC has allotted a budget of two crore rupees for the purpose of starting ten new CBSE schools for the academic year 2021-22 across Mumbai and suburban areas.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">On the other hand, in a view of increasing cases of COVID-19 the BMC has decided to shut the iconic Oval Maidan. BMC Assistant Municipal Commissioner of Ward A Chanda Jadhav said, no sports or other activities will be permitted at the Oval Maidan till further notice.</span><br />
