<span style="color: #222222;">In Assam, administration of booster dose has begun in the state. Health minister Keshab Mahanta has attended a program in this connection at Jorhat medical college. Talking to AIR News, Mission Director of state NHM Dr. Lakshmanan S said that jabs are being administered at medical colleges and vaccination centers. He said that health and frontline workers and citizens above 60 years of age could take the booster dose. Senior citizens are taking jabs across the state. Meanwhile, 988 COVID 19 cases have been registered yesterday in Assam. Kamrup Metro has reported highest 490 cases.</span><br />
