Pulse Polio drops are being administered to children upto five years of age in the National Capital Delhi on Sunday. This time Delhi Government has made eleborate arrangements for reaching out the maximum numbers of children below the 5 years of age through strengthening the booth activity. A total of about 7900 Pulse Polio booths have been set up in the state spread over 70 assemblies. Booths have also been set up at transit points like ISBTs, Railway Stations, Metro Stations, Inter State Borders and Entertainment centers. This year’s the government aimed at to cover all habitation sites in Delhi . After administering polio drops at diferent booths, health workers will move from House to House in next 7 days to ensure that every single child up to 5 years of age has received the additional Polio doses.AIR correspondent reports that in all other states, pulse polio drops were given to the children on the 15th of this month, but in Delhi, this could not be administered because of local elections.
