<span style="color: #222222;">With just over two weeks for notification for Union Territory status to Ladakh, the Administration in Ladakh has geared up to arrange the basic infrastructure for housing for the staff of the UT administration. It is giving a face-lift and upgrading the existing Govt. buildings for offices and residential facilities for various level offices in UT .<br />'' <br />'' AIR Leh Correspondent reports, the preparation for housing the offices and residential for the officials of new UT is in full swing. To assess the first hand the progress of the preparations, the Ladakh Divisional Commissioner Saugat Biswas along with his team of officers have conducted inspection yesterday to the Government buildings and other infrastructure in Leh. He also took stock of the progress in up-gradation of existing infrastructure for setting up of various offices as well as residential accommodation for both high and middle level officers.<br />''<br />''Office-cum- residence for the Lieutenant Governor, Advisers, Secretaries, and other probable officers were earmarked tentatively. Divisional Commissioner has instructed the Deputy Commissioner, Leh to get the finishing touches done at the earliest with focus on making the facilities to withstand the severe winters of Ladakh. All the up-gradations of the building and basic infrastructure are to be completed within the stipulate period of ten days.</span><br />
