The Rajya Sabha has been adjourned till 12 noon. Ealier, as soon as it met this morning, it was adjourned for 15 minutes.

The members of the opposition demanded a discussion on the alleged bugging issue in the house of Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari.They were insisting that members of the House have issued a notice and a discussion must take place.

At this, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Prakash Javadekar once again reiterated that the reports appearing in a section of the media were baseless and there is nothing to be discussed. But the unrelenting members of the opposition including Congress, SP and JD(U) continued with their demand for discussion and an explanation.

The Chairman of the House Mr. Hamid Ansari however urged the agitating members to cooperate for smooth conduct of question hour as some important issues were to be taken up.

But the members of the opposition did not relent,forcing the Chairman to adjourn the House.
