In Kerala, Additional chief secretary K Jayakumar has submitted his report to Chief Minister Oommen Chanday on the controversial police firing incident on SFI students at Kozhikode Engineering College a few days ago.It is learnt that the report defends the action of Asst. Commissioner Radhakrishna Pillai who fired at violent students who pelted stones at police personnel.The incident has caused uproarious scenes in Kerala assembly for many days and subsequently led to suspension of two opposition MLAs the other day.The latest report by the additional chief secretary is quite likely to provoke LDF opposition once again.
