The Center has made an additional allocation of three thousand tonnes of wheat and three thousand tonnes of rice to Uttarakhand at Minimum Support Price for Char Dham Yatra. The Yatra begins this month.

According to an official release, Food and Public Distribution Minister, K V Thomas has directed his ministry to release the additional quantity of foodgrains to the state immediately. The allocation has been made in view of the request received from the state government in this regard.
