Multilateral lending agency Asian Development Bank will provide a 400-million US dollar loan to Madhya Pradesh for promoting rural development and creation of business and employment opportunities in the state. According to an ADB statement, the loan will also help provide 24-hour electricity to rural households and create better educational opportunities for the state's poor. It will also ensure inclusive growth and development in rural areas. Our correspondent reports, under the first tranche, ADB will provide 200 million dollars to the state. Besides, it will also provide technical assistance of 1 million US dollar to train poor women in target districts as entrepreneurs.
