The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has announced US 20 million dollars as grant assistance for the High Mountain Agribusiness and Livelihood Improvement Project for Nepal. This will be provided to small farmers and rural enterprises to help them increase the value and salability of their goods. According to a press statement, the initiative is expected to generate new jobs for seven thousand and five hundred people and directly benefit about five thousand households in ten districts in the country. ADB said, the goal is to make mountain agribusiness more commercially viable and to take advantage of improving rural infrastructure.
