The two member judicial panel probing Adarsh Society Housing scam has submitted an interim report to the Maharashtra government in Mumbai today. Inquiry Commission member secretary NN Kumbhar said that the 106 page report was submitted to Maharashtra chief secretary Ratnakar Gaikwad in a sealed envelope. The interim report prepared by retired Justice J.A. Patil and former state chief secretary P Subrahmanyam includes the committee's findings on ownership and reservation of the plot of land at Colaba in south Mumbai, on which the scam-tainted Adarsh building stands. The state government had approached the commission a few months ago seeking an interim report on title and reservation of the land. Government sources said that the date for tabling the report in the assembly has not yet been finalized.
