Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan was today granted permission by the Adarsh Inquiry Commission to submit his affidavit till 20th of this month. Last week on Friday, Chavan had sought more time to submit his affidavit before the judicial panel which is probing the Adarsh Housing scam. The plea was placed before the bench headed by Justice (retd) J A Patil today, which granted him extension. The two-member Commission, on May 10, had directed him to file an affidavit with regard to Adarsh housing society files that he had dealt with during his tenure as state revenue minister.
