Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok today reiterated that the land on which the Adarsh housing society is built, belongs to the state government. Speaking to reporters in Mumbai today Mr. Chavan said that he welcomes Defence ministry’s decision of CBI probe into it. He however said that CBI has not approached him seeking any information on Adarsh scam.Meanwhile, MNS Chief Raj Thackeray says, the Adarsh society scam is a conspiracy against Chavan and it will be unjustified to seek his resignation unless he is found guilty. He also added that if Chavan is found guilty action must be taken against him.In another development the members of the Adarsh society got a major blow when the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation disconnected the Power and water supply of the building as the occupation certificate had been revoked.
