The US has said the Mumbai attacks had shown that the Lashkar-e-Taiba is out to fill the gap" created by a "diminished al-Qaeda" and "decisive" action is needed from all countries of South Asia including Pakistan to defeat it.<br/><br/>Addressing a function in New Delhi, the US Coordinator on Counter-Terrorism Dan Benjamin said the aim of securing the world would remain incomplete unless the LeT is defeated. He said his country is not just focussing on the Al Qaeda<br/>but also groups which are growing and have global reach like the LeT. <br/><br/>Mr Benjamin rejected the contention by some sections in Pakistan that the Jamaat-ud Dawa,JuD, is a humanitarian group.
