ACP Anil Mahobole questioned in J Dey murder case

A Crime Branch team of Maharashtra Police has questioned Assistant Commissioner of Police Anil Mahabole for several hours in connection with the murder of veteran journalist Jotirmoy Dey. Mahabole was allowed to go after recording his statement yesterday. Crime Branch sources said, during the interrogation Mahabole claimed that he had cordial relation with Dey and he had no role in the murder. Sources said, Crime Branch may summon him again if required. Mahabole, under scanner following the June 13 murder, was shunted to Local Arms Control Room in suburban Naigaon from the in-charge post of Azad Maidan division in south Mumbai.
