Accused in 2002 Akshardham temple attack in Gujarat arrested

<span style="color: #222222;">Crime Branch of Ahmedabad police on Monday arrested the accused of 2002 terror attack on Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">47-year-old Mohammed Farukh Shaikh, who had fled from the country after the attack was nabbed from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport of Ahmedabad. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">According to Crime Branch sources, the accused settled in Saudi Arabia since 1994 was on run for past 16 years. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He returned Gujarat to meet family members and based on a tip-off he was arrested on Monday morning after his flight landed. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Police said that Mohammed Farukh Shaikh was a resident of Juhapura area in Ahmedabad and brother of another accused of the incident, Saleem Manekh Shaikh. The arrested accused will be produced in the court tomorrow for remand. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Akshardham terror attack took place in the evening of 24th September, 2002 in which 32 people including two terrorists were killed and over 80 injured in this attack. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">More than 20 accused in this case are still at large. </span><br />
