Employees Provident Fund beneficiaries can access their account online from next month. Union Labour Minister Mallikarjuna Kharge informed this in the Review meeting of Regional Provident Fund Commissioners in New Delhi today. He said it will be possible for the beneficiaries to know particulars of the contributions made and balance amount available in their accounts through EPF website. The Labour minister also informed that many EPF offices have updated accounts till 2008-09 and in another six months, current dated account updation will be made possible. He assured that settlement of claims will then be made within 30 days and grienvances addressed at a faster pace. He warned 11 EPF offices which are lagging behind in account updations to gear up.
