Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) has questioned Former Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai in connection with alleged corruption in app-based premium bus service scheme.

Mr Rai voluntarily presented himself before ACB chief MK Meena in the backdrop of graft allegations against the AAP government's ambitious scheme. Mr Rai claimed the probe agency is totally clueless over substantiating corruption charges in the scheme.

He alleged that the whole matter is politically motivated and the ACB has not even registered an FIR in the case. He said he is ready to provide any file pertaining to the scheme to the probe agency.

However, Mr Meena said investigation into the matter shows that the scheme was launched in connivance with a particular company and the ACB will take legal action against every concerned officer if they fail to provide all necessary documents in connection with the matter.

Mr Rai, accompanied by senior officials of the Transport Department, also met the Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung and asked him for evidence which proves corruption in the bus scheme.
