An absconding accused of the 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts, Mujeeb Sheikh, was arrested by Madhya Pradesh anti terrorist squad, ATS in Jabalpur yesterday. Police said, Mujeeb Sheikh is alleged to be a member of the banned outfit Indian Mujahideen, IM and SIMI. Sheikh has been absconding since the serial blasts in Ahmedabad on July 26, 2008, when 57 persons lost their lives and over 200 others were injured. He was arrested by the Madhya Pradesh ATS along with seven other IM and SIMI members yesterday. According to the city crime branch investigating the 2008 serial blasts case, Sheikh was allegedly involved in planting he bombs in different parts of the city.
