In Jharkhand, above 48 percent polling has taken place during first six hours till 1 pm. AIR orrespondent reports that maximum 57 percent electorate have exercised their franchise in Chandankyari assembly segment of Bokaro district. Minimum 33 percent votes have been cast in Bokaro constituency.

Polling is going on under tight security. No untoward incident is reported from any poll bound districts of Dhanbad, Giridih, Bokaro and Deoghar. 15 constituencies of the state are going to polls in this phase.
