More than100 people were killed and 135 injured in an explosion that hit a Night Club in the Russian city of Perm late last night. About 200 people are said to have been in the club, named as the Lame Horse, when the blast occurred. Police are investigating whether the accident was caused by two large firework displays. The nightclub was celebrating its eighth anniversary. It is believed that most victims died from smoke inhalation. Perm is about 1,400 kilometres east of Moscow.
