The Union Minister for Housing and Urban Poverty Eliviation Kumari Sailja said that about one lakh crore rupees were spent for Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewable Mission (JNNURM) . Handing over the houses constructed under JNNURM scheme to the Scheduled Caste beneficiaries at Puducherry last evening the Minister said,the country should be slum free and no poor should be without house . The Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewable Mission (JNNURM) is the largest house building programme in the country and 15 lakh houses have been built under this scheme so far.
