In Punjab, government agencies and private millers procured about 66 lakh tonnes of Paddy till last evening. A spokesman of Punjab Government said in Chandigarh that out of total procurement in all the 1700 centers, Government agencies procured 98 percent of the total arrival while the remaining has been procured by private millers. Five Punjab government agencies and FCI are purchasing paddy in the market.
