In Gujarat, about 6 per cent votes have been cast during one hour of polling. Quoting Election Commission sources, our correspondent reports that polling is taking place peacefully under tight security. No untoward incident is reported from any part of the poll bound areas. The total 87 assembly constituencies spread over 15 districts from Saurashtra and South Gujarat regions is being polled in first phase of assembly polls.
