In Gujarat, about 6 per cent votes have been cast during one hour of polling that began at 8 this morning.Polling is taking place in 87 assembly constituencies in 15 districts of Saurashtra and South Gujarat regions in the first phase.
Election Commission sources said, polling is taking place peacefully under tight security. No untoward incident has been reported from any part of the poll bound areas so far.
