Union Government has said that paddy procurement for Kharif Marketing Season 2020-21 is going on smoothly in the procuring states. Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in a statement said that so far about 42.55 Lakh Metric Tonnes  of paddy has been procured  from over 3.57 lakh farmers with MSP value of over 8,032 crore rupees.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''The Ministry said, based on the proposal from the States, approval was accorded for procurement of 30.70 Lakh Metric Tonnes  of Pulse and Oilseeds for Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh. It said, sanction for procurement of 1.23 Lakh Metric Tonne of Copra for Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala was also given.</span><br />
