In Arunachal Pradesh, about 185 marooned people, including women and children, were airlifted by an Indian Air Force (IAF) MI-17 helicopter yesterday from flood-affected Bijoypur I & III villages under Bordumsa circle in Changlang district. All the rescued villagers were safely evacuated to the relief camp. Till yesterday, 250 people were rescued through a small country boat from the flood-hit villages. Meanwhile, the water level on Noa-Dehing River is gradually receding. The Dharmapur area of Kharsang circle has been cut off from rest of the world. Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki demanded the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram to depute a central team to the state to assess the damage caused by flood.
