Grandmaster Abhijeet Gupta now occupies the sole lead position in the 16th Dubai International open chess tournament. In the fourth round in Dubai today, the highest rated Indian in the fray defeated Hatim Al-Hadarani of Yemen. The fourth victory in a row helped Gupta annex four points. As many as six players remain on the heels of Gupta with three and a half points a piece. Another 32 players are in close pursuit with three points each.Five rounds still remain in the 50,000 US Dollar prize money tournament.
