Indian Grandmaster Abhijeet Gupta kept himself on road to the Dubai Open Chess title, as he defeated Swiss Grandmaster Sebastian Bogner in the eighth and the penultimate round today. Romain Edouard of France beat Anuar Ismagambetov of Kazakhstan to maintain the sole lead. Romain is leading with 7 points from eight games, while with 6.5 points, Abhijeet in now sole second. Earlier, Abhijeet was tied up for the second place with Bogner and Ismagambetov.Some more seventh round matches are scheduled for today, while the final round will be played tomorrow.
