In Chhattisgarh, stage is set for release of abducted Sukma District collector Alex Paul Menon later in the day. Two negotiators have reached Chintalnar from where they will go to the jungal near Tadmetla to secure the release of the collector. Maoists had indicated that negotiators Dr. B D Sharma and Professor Hargopal need to be involved in the release process of district collector. The two mediators accordingly left for Chintalnar in South Bastar from Raipur in a helicopter this morning .

Landing at Chintalnar in south Bastar just before the noon today, both the mediators wheeled off to Tadmetla along with a host of mediamen.However, at Tadmetla all else were prevented from progressing further, except the mediators, who subsequently walked off into the dense jungle for an undisclosed destination. Even just before their departure into the dense woods, they did not divulge any details in the context of the release of Mr. menon by the maoists. Thus, till
their return from the jungle, the time in between is in for crossed- fingers.
