In Odisha, abducted Malkangiri District Collectror R Vineel Krishna and Junior Engineer will be freed by the Maoists by tomorrow. Talking to AIR Bhubaneswar correspondent, Prof G Haragopal, who is acting as one of the mediators on behalf of the Maoists, said the return process of Krishna and Majhi is on. Prof Haragopal along with Maoist-appointed mediators, Prof R Someswar Rao and Danapani Mohanty, have been talking to Odisha Government representative Home Secretary UN Behera and Information and Public Relations Secretary SN Tripathy at Bhubaneswar today over the modalities of release. The mediators had said last evening that the hostage duo would return within 48 hours. Odisha Home Secretary UN Behera also expressed hope that the hostages will return very soon.
