Abducted Indian aid worker Judith D'Souza scheduled to reach New Delhi this evening

The family of Indian aid worker Judith D'Souza, who was rescued following her abduction in Kabul last month, expressed gratitude to the Indian government today. Judith is scheduled to reach New Delhi this evening. In a message sent to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Judith's sister said, their family is thankful to the Indian government for getting her sister back. <br/><br/>She said, the family is also grateful to Mrs Swaraj. She requested the media to respect the family's privacy. Hailing from Kolkata, Judith who works for an International NGO Aga Khan foundation, was kidnapped by suspected militants in Kabul on the 9th of the last month. <br/><br/><br/>Prime Minister Narendra Modi had requested Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to expedite the efforts to rescue Judith. In a tweet message, Mrs. Swaraj said, she had spoken to Ms. D'Souza, who would be arriving in New Delhi this evening.
