Aashadi Ekadashi to be celebrated across Maharashtra tomorrow

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">In Maharashtra, Aashadi Ekadashi, one of the most significant festivals will be celebrated across the state tomorrow. Around 12 to 14 lakh pilgrims known as Warkaris undertake the pilgrimage from different parts of the state and descend at the holy town of Pandharpur to pay obeisance to Lord Vitthal on Aashadhi Ekadashi.</p>”<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />”</p>”<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">After two years of muted celebration due to COVID-19, this year’s Ekadashi will be celebrated with pomp, gaiety and devotion.</p>”<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />”</p>”<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">AIR correspondent reports, Amid singing of hymns ‘Dnyanoba Mauli Tukaram’, ‘Pundalika Varada Hari Vitthal’ lakhs of Warkaris from various parts of the state are reaching temple town–Pandharpur ahead of the Ashadi Ekadashi to be celebrated tomorrow.</p>”<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />”</p>”<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">The District Administration has made all arrangements for the Warkaris like providing clean drinking water, toilet facility and maintaining sanitation. &nbsp;</p>”<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />”</p>”<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Zilla Parishad CEO, Dilip Swami while talking to AIR News said that at one hundred and 74 places, health centres were organized on the Palkhi marg. Apart from this, COVID Vaccination and Testing Centres were also installed for the Warkaris.</p>”<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />”</p>”<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Mr. Swami said that special care was taken for female Warkaris as gynecologists too were deployed at these health centres. At each stoppages of ‘Palkhi’, a separate feeding rooms were created for lactating mothers.</p>”<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />”</p>”<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">The ZP CEO said, bike ambulances were pressed into service for the warkaris who were taken ill.
