In the twin murder case of Aarushi and Hemraj, the Supreme Court today directed that Aarushi's father Rajesh Talwar will remain on bail and not be arrested till February 4, when he will appear before a Ghaziabad court to face trial along with his wife, Nupur.

A Bench of Justices A K Ganguly and J S Khehar said that any further proceeding regarding his bail will be decided by the Ghaziabad court.

It also said that the dentist Rajesh Talwar will not leave the city without informing the local police station and his passport will remain in the custody of the Magistrate.

It, however, allowed the CBI to approach the trial court to file any application in the matter.

Earlier on Friday, the apex court had dismissed the couple's plea to quash the criminal proceedings against them.
