The Aam Aadmi Party today said it has not violated the Model Code of Conduct by protesting outside BJP's Office in Delhi on Wednesday.

In reply to the notice issued by New Delhi District Election Office, the party said the protest was spontaneous reaction to the detention of its leader Arvind Kejriwal in Gujarat.

It also said that the protest was not part of election campaign of any candidate. Stating that it has full regards for the Code of Conduct, the party assured its full cooperation in effective implementation of the Code.

Our correspondent reports, the party was served a notice yesterday for alleged violation of the Model Code of Conduct by holding the protest.
