AAP promises strong Jan Lok Pal; reduced age for contesting elections, de-centralisation of power & citizen's charter in its manifesto for LS polls

Reducing the age of candidates to contest Lok Sabha and Assembly elections to 21 years from 25 , a strong Jan Lokpal Bill, education and health for all are the some of the promises and highlights of election manifesto of Aam Aadmi Party-AAP released today.

Unveiling the manifesto in New Delhi, AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that decentralization of power, citizen's charter to ensure time-bound delivery of services and providing good governance will be some other priority areas for the party. Emphasising on judicial accountability, he promised to double the number of judges in courts across the country in the next five years. He said, his party will install CCTV cameras in police stations and there would be cameras in interrogation rooms as well.

Kejriwal said , his party has proposed to make separate investigative and law and order wings in police.

The AAP leader also announced that the four-year undergraduate programme in Delhi University will be withdrawn as demanded by a section of students and teachers.
