AAP office in Mumbai vandalised; 24 NCP activists detained

The Aam Aadmi Party office in suburban Mumbai was allegedly vandalised by a group of about 20-25 miscreants yesterday afternoon. According to AAP sources, the vandals entered the second floor of the office located at Chakala in Andheri and tore up and burnt the poster of AAP leader Arivind Kejriwal. The vandals threw black ink bottles all over the office and damaged party banners. AAP has filed an FIR and 24 NCP activists have been detained by the police for rioting and tresspass in connection with the attack. NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik has said they were seeking details of the incident.

In another development, the Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has said the Aam Aadmi Party could not use the opportunity to govern and solve people's problems in Delhi. He was talking to reporters in Solapur in Maharashtra. Asked about the FIR filed by the Kejriwal government against industrialist Mukesh Ambani and others over the gas price rise issue, he said Delhi Police would investigate the complaint.
