Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh was today suspended for the remainder of the week from Rajya Sabha for his unruly behaviour in the house. When the house met after first adjournment at 12 Noon, Deputy Chairman Harivansh said, yesterday, Sanjay Singh tore a paper and threw it towards the Chair. He said, Mr. Singh's unruly behaviour has disregarded the authority of the Chair. Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs V. Muraleedharan moved a motion to invoke Rule 256 to suspend Mr. Singh for the remaining part of the week for shouting slogans and disregarding the Chair.
