Some of the AAP MLAs out of 21 legislators facing the threat of disqualification for allegedly holding office of profit as Parliamentary Secretaries, submitted their explanation to the Election Commission today. <br/><br/>According to sources, some MLAs have sought more time from the Commission. Today was the last day for the legislators to explain their position before the poll body. Earlier, they had pleaded before the Commission that they did not draw any benefit from the post. <br/><br/>Last month, Delhi High Court had set aside their appointment noting that the order was issued without the concurrence of Lieutenant-Governor. Delhi government has already submitted to the Commission the documents relevant to the proceedings. <br/><br/>In February last year, Arvind Kejriwal's government had appointed them as the Parliamentary Secretaries.
