Aam Aadmi Party AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal today filed his nomination papers from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh. He was accompanied by senior party leaders Manish Sisodiya, Pankaj Gupta and Sanjay Singh during filing of his papers.
Our correspondent reports that a blanket of tight security was thrown near district election office and only five people including Arvind Kejriwal were allowed inside the Returning Officer`s campus. After filing his papers Kejriwal said he is fighting against corruption. Party spokesperson Sanjay Singh said that AAP leader Kejriwal will continue to stay at Varanasi till the end of the campaigning.
Earlier, Kejriwal held a road show in the holy city before filing his nomination papers. Kejriwal is contesting against BJP's Narendra Modi in the high profile constituency. Modi will file his papers tomorrow from the constituency.
