Aam Aadmi Party, AAP, has demanded strong action against the TV Channels for broadcasting BJP leader Narendra Modi's speeches today when polling for the last phase was underway. The party said, it is the gross violation of the Model Code of Conduct as Modi is a contestant in Varanasi and broadcasting his political speeches amounts to influencing the voters. In a letter to the Commission, the AAP also named some private news channels for telecasting Modi's speeches. The party has also questioned the poll body for not taking cognizance and issuing direction to the news channels to stop the broadcast forthwith.
