The Aam Aadmi Party has requested the Election Commission to initiate an independent probe into the violent clashes which took place between its members and BJP supporters in Delhi and Lucknow. The party accused BJP of trying to intimidate its workers. It also accused the Delhi Police of registering an FIR only against its members and left out BJP supporters.

In a letter to the Commission yesterday, the party alleged that Gujarat Police is intimidating everybody with whom party leader Manish Sisodia interacted during his travels in Banaskantha district. The letter also mentioned that while party chief Arvind Kejriwal was on a visit to a village in Kutch, his police escort disappeared before some 50 to 60 people waving black flags allegedly attacked the convoy.
